Products Spotlight
KeeneFlash™ 300 is a multipurpose butyl flashing and repair tape with a tough, flexible film backing. In green roof assemblies it is used to tape root barrier seams; it also seals windows, doors, pipe penetrations and sheathing seams against air and water.
6" wide; 8 rolls per box (100' rolls); 27 boxes per pallet
Aggressive butyl adhesive; self-healing after puncture
Conforms around edges, corners and transitions
Service temperature -30°F to 200°F
Easy-release clear PET liner
N-Vire™ Mat 040-1 and 075-1 are multi-functional products comprised of a structured strand core and filter-fabric that can either assist with root entanglement & soil reinforcement or act as a moderate or high-flow drainage product in your green roof assembly or landscaping application.
When used with the filament-side up, the product assists with root entanglement and soil reinforcement, allowing roots to grow into and become tangled with the 3-dimensional polymeric core. This feature facilitates the easy transportation of vegetation from one place to another. Alternatively, when installed with the fabric side up, the mat creates a 0.40″ to 0.75″ thick air-space, enabling incidental moisture to drain away and ventilate out effectively.”
N-Vire™ Mat 040-1: 4’X100’ Part # 01-X-0040 | Thickness: 0.40 Inches / 10.2 mm
N-Vire™ Mat 075-1: 4’X50’ Part # 01-X-0041 | Thickness: 0.75 Inches / 19 mm
Aqua Balance Mat is a needle-punched, mechanically bonded water-retention felt made from 100% recycled fibers. A proprietary blend of low- and mid-denier fibers gives it strong capillary action, so it absorbs water quickly and holds it for green roof vegetation while helping reduce stormwater runoff.
Roll size: 4' x 75' (300 sq ft); charcoal
Water capacity: 1.7 lb/ft²
Dry weight: 1,464 g/m²
Self-extinguishing; mildew, bacteria and chemical resistant
Sold by the roll
TriDent® Dimple Drain is a two-layer drainage composite: a high-strength, moisture-impermeable dimpled polystyrene (HIPS) sheet with a non-woven polypropylene filter fabric bonded to it. It relieves hydrostatic pressure while keeping silt, soil and concrete out of the drainage channel. For foundations, under-slab drainage, plaza decks, commercial planters and green roofs.
Sold by the roll; 48" x 50' (200 sq ft), 36 lb/roll
Lightweight and easy to handle
Options
TriDent DD 025 – 1/4" core, 10,000 psf compressive strength, 12 gpm/ft flow – 18 rolls/pallet
TriDent DD 050 – 1/2" core, 15,000 psf compressive strength, 21 gpm/ft flow – 12 rolls/pallet
Driwall™ Prefabricated Composite Drain is a drainage mat that relieves hydrostatic pressure behind foundation walls, retaining walls, planters, plaza decks and balconies. Its core is a matrix of extruded polymer monofilaments heat-welded at every junction, faced with a non-woven filter fabric that keeps soil or concrete out of the drainage plane, so drainage aggregate can often be eliminated. Double-fabric (-2) versions add a heavier protection fabric on the back that cushions the waterproofing membrane during backfill.
Minimal deflection, with no creep or long-term degradation
Thin profile for tight assemblies
Lightweight and easy to handle
0.45" versions are suited to green roofs and roof gardens
Sold by the roll; all rolls 48" x 100' (400 sq ft)
Options
PCD 10/013 – 0.125" core, filter fabric one side – 30 lb/roll, 18 rolls/pallet
PCD 10/013-2 – 0.125" core, both sides – 40 lb/roll, 18 rolls/pallet
PCD 10/025 – 0.25" core, one side – 53 lb/roll, 10 rolls/pallet
PCD 10/025-2 – 0.25" core, both sides – approx. 51 lb/roll, 10 rolls/pallet
PCD 10/045 – 0.45" core, one side – 55.6 lb/roll, 8 rolls/pallet
PCD 10/045-2 – 0.45" core, both sides – 62.2 lb/roll, 8 rolls/pallet

DIY guide: the layers of a green roof
A green roof is built as a stack, and every layer protects the one below it. Install them in this order, from the roof deck up.
Root barrier: Keeps roots out of your waterproofing. Overlap the seams and seal them with KeeneFlash tape so roots can't find a gap.
Drainage: Carries extra water to the roof drains so the soil never sits waterlogged. Without it, plants drown and the roof carries more weight.
Retention and filtration: Retention mats hold water for plants between rains. Filter fabric keeps soil from washing into the drainage layer.
Growing media and plants: Use a lightweight engineered green roof soil, not garden soil, and choose plants that handle full sun and wind. We don't sell plants. Ask us where to source them for your region.
Edging and drain boxes: Edging holds soil and gravel in place along borders and walkways. Drain boxes keep roof drains clear and easy to inspect.
Irrigation: Driplines on a timer get new plants through their first season and through dry spells.
Pedestals for paths and seating: Pedestals and leveling shims set pavers flat over a sloped roof without puncturing the membrane.
Before you start: Make sure your roof can carry the weight of a fully soaked green roof and that the waterproofing is in good shape. Talk to a structural engineer or roofer before starting your next roof project.

This DIG timer will connect easily to a garden hose or spigot and sports hose thread ends, making it compatible with other basic system components like the A015 backflow preventer, F300 filter, PR204 pressure regulator, and LF003 swivel adapter. When it comes to a simple, inexpensive, reliable solution to drip system automation, you can do no better than the C002.
This timer offers four start times per day for great flexibility on your watering schedule, a 9V battery that lasts up to one year before it needs to be replaced, and an LCD screen.
The Dynamex™ Rise-It system from Redwood Plastics and Rubber supports ceramic and porcelain pavers on roof decks, balconies and patios. The pads carry the load of the pavers and foot traffic while reducing vibration and noise, leave a drainage path beneath the surface, and protect the roofing membrane or moisture barrier below. They can also level pavers over broken sidewalks, sand, gravel or uneven concrete. Made from 100% recycled material.
Sold by the box of 100 pads; 30 boxes (3,000 pads) per pallet
1/2" with 3mm spacer: for 24" x 24" and larger pavers; the 3mm spacer tabs create a joint that mimics a standard grout line
1/2" flat top: for 24" x 48" and larger pavers; gives extra support and noise reduction
1/8" with 3mm spacer: a low-profile, cost-effective pad for low-height installations
A box of 100 typically covers about 100 sq ft of 24" x 24" pavers
Pair with Rise-It shims to level the surface and work with drainage slope
Dynamex™ Rise-It shims stack under Rise-It pedestals to level pavers and to compensate for the drainage slope of a roof or deck. Made from 100% recycled material.
- 1/16" shim: sold by the box of 400
- 1/8" shim: sold by the box of 200
- Typically ordered alongside pallets of 1/2" Rise-It pads
Area of use
- On roof areas up to approx. 5° roof pitch
- To support the guidance of excess water into drainage and
substrate layers with flow lengths over 6-10 m
- Can be combined with the combi inspection chamber plus, maxi
control chamber, triangle collection channel type TSK, and gravel
retainers via pre-cut insertion openings to be broken out
Specific properties
- Targeted, resistance-free drainage of excess water
- The height of the system structure above remains unaffected,
thus greater space for roots
